Paper II

General chemistry of block elements Non-Aqueous Solvents Delocalised covalent bonding Reactions and Rearrangements Pericyclic reactions Chemistry and mechanism of reactions Polymeric Systems Synthetic uses of reagents Photochemistry Principles of spectroscopy and applications in structure elucidation

Candidates will be required to answer three more questions out of the remaining six questions, taking at least one question from each Part.. Indian culture will cover the salient aspects of Art Forms, Literature and Architecture from ancient to modern times

. (B) Interview for Personality Test of such candidates as may be called by the Commission– Maximum marks : 300.
